Jefferson County Multi Purpose Conference Rooms
Summary

High Country Low Voltage (HCLV) was contracted to design, procure, install, and commission comprehensive audiovisual solutions across two large conference spaces—Multi-Purpose Room 50 and Multi-Purpose Room 110. The objective for both spaces was to enable intuitive, BYOD-friendly conferencing environments that would be easy to operate, scalable for future upgrades, and capable of supporting both in-person and hybrid collaboration.
In Multi-Purpose Room 50, the project began with the relocation of the room’s existing 90″ Sharp display, which was moved to the back of the room and mounted on a side wall to provide better visibility for rear seating areas. A new 98″ display was installed at the front of the room to serve as the primary visual element. Additionally, a 65″ display was mounted to a column in the center of the space, ensuring complete screen visibility from all angles. To accommodate large presentations and events, a 161″ motorized projection screen was recessed into the ceiling, paired with a high-brightness 7,000-lumen laser projector to deliver vibrant, high-resolution video in any lighting condition.
The audiovisual system in Room 50 was built around the Barco ClickShare Conference platform, enabling wireless content sharing and video conferencing directly from user laptops. A 10″ touchscreen control panel was installed to allow for simplified control of all AV components. Two pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras were strategically placed in the room to offer both presenter and audience views, supporting remote communication and content capture. For consistent audio coverage, 24 in-ceiling speakers were installed and tuned to deliver clear sound throughout the entire space. A floor-standing AV rack was added to house the system’s core components, including a Q-SYS audio/video processor, video encoder, amplifier, and a dedicated AV network switch. Voice lift and remote communication were enhanced with a wireless handheld microphone and a wireless bodypack with a lavalier microphone, supported by a convenient charging station to ensure constant readiness.
Multi-Purpose Room 110 was similarly equipped to provide a consistent user experience across both spaces. The room was fitted with three 98″ displays installed across the front walls, offering expansive, high-resolution visuals viewable from any seat in the room. Like Room 50, the Barco ClickShare system served as the wireless conferencing backbone, allowing participants to easily present or join calls using their own laptops. A second 10″ touchscreen panel was installed for room control, giving users immediate access to system settings and source switching.
Room 110 also featured dual PTZ cameras to capture different room perspectives, ideal for hybrid events or virtual meetings. Audio performance was again delivered through 24 in-ceiling speakers connected to a centralized amplifier and processed through the same Q-SYS platform, ensuring balanced and intelligible sound. All AV hardware in this space was installed in a wall-mounted rack, which also housed a network switch dedicated to the AV system’s standalone network. Wireless microphones, including both a handheld and a lavalier-equipped bodypack, were provided along with a charging station to ensure dependable audio pickup for presenters and facilitators.
As part of the scope of work, HCLV also removed the existing projection system from one of the rooms and returned it to the client, ensuring a clean and fully transitioned installation. Both rooms were designed with scalability in mind, with infrastructure and system design allowing for future upgrades and integration of additional technologies as needs evolve.
The completion of this project provided the client with two high-performing, user-friendly conferencing spaces that support wireless collaboration, hybrid meeting flexibility, and effortless day-to-day use—all with a consistent operational experience across both rooms.
