City of Thornton Police Department Conference Room Upgrades
Scope of Work
HCLV was engaged to upgrade the Police Department’s conference room with a more advanced hybrid conferencing system. The goal was to improve both in-person and remote meeting experiences by enhancing video, audio, and presentation capabilities while reusing existing hardware where possible.
Scope of Work: We provided a complete solution, integrating new ceiling microphones, speakers, and a 4K camera. The system leverages the room’s existing displays, with wireless presentation capabilities for seamless collaboration. Additionally, a dedicated in-room PC was installed to support extended presentations on multiple displays.
Key Features:
- Audio & Video: The system includes a powerful bundle for clear audio capture and sound reinforcement throughout the room. A ceiling-mounted microphone and in-ceiling speakers ensure optimal sound for meetings, while a 4K camera captures high-quality video of the room.
- Wireless Presentation: Wireless presentation is enabled through a ClickShare system, allowing participants to share content easily to the main displays. The system is set up to support two sources, with extended presentation capabilities via the in-room PC.
- Display Configuration: The room’s three 75” displays were reused. The first two displays can show extended content from either the wireless system or the in-room PC. The third display is dedicated to cable box use.
Outcome: The upgraded system enhances hybrid collaboration for the Police Department, enabling smooth virtual meetings and high-quality presentations. By reusing existing displays and carefully selecting new equipment, we delivered an efficient, cost-effective solution that meets the department’s needs for years to come.
